What is Practice Partner's Dynameter?

Practice Partner's Dynameter is used to display graphically your relative dynamic level in a musically meaningful way.
The Dynameter can be used to:
- Display the relative dynamic of an audio sample
- The audio sample can be either from a live source or from an audio file
- Continuous or single audio samples can be analyzed for their dynamic
- The relative fortississimo (very loud) level of the audio source can be
calibrated for your instrument / voice
- The background noise level can be adjusted (reduced)

How does the Dynameter help me?
Being able to perform music at a consistent dynamic level is
difficult enough during one practice session - being able to perform music at
the same, consistent dynamic level tomorrow, next week or next year is an even
more difficult skill to acquire. The Dynameter enables you to measure your
relative dynamic level compared to meaningful, familiar musical notation levels
(pp, mf, etc.), rather than in absolute values (such as decibels
or phons) which are generally meaningless from a musical point of view. The
measurement made of your dynamic level is a relative dynamic level in
relation to the normal background noise level and your loudest (fff)
dynamic level. This means that the Dynameter is customizable and suitable for
use by anyone from a recorder player to a trombone player!
